Fishing in WoW Forever: camp recipes and where the gold is

Fishing now has camp recipes, including a Fish Bowl that gives everyone at the fire 8% more stats. Here's what that means for your gold.

Fishing still levels the old way: you stand at the water and fish. What changed is that Forever gave it three camp recipes. The first of them is one of the strongest buffs in the whole camping system.

What's new in Forever

A Fish Bowl at 17 gives everyone sitting nearby 8% increased stats, and it doesn't stack with Blessing of Kings. It costs a Raw Brilliant Smallfish and an Empty Vial.

The Fishing Rack at 137 lets you catch uncommon fish for an hour and makes fishing lures. The Fishing Hut at 300 does the same for rare fish. There's also a Legacy perk, Luremaster, that gives a chance at an extra fish while a lure is active.

The only craft in our data is the Fish Bowl, at skill 17 to 22. Everything else comes from fishing, which hasn't changed.

Making gold while you level

Sell Raw Brilliant Smallfish. If the Fish Bowl's 8% stats buff works anywhere near how it reads, every group that camps will want one. That means somebody needs the fish.

Fish for the cooks. The new cooking recipes use plenty of fish, and the cooks leveling through them won't all fish for themselves.

The Rack and the Hut make you the rare-fish supplier. We don't know yet which fish they unlock, so this one is speculation until launch.
